PART 1: identify and explain the function of each program icon
1. Moves motor forward 2. push sensor - when pushed in a specific action will occur 3. Time - a specific action will take place for a certain amount of time 4. Lamp - turns on light 5. steering icon - control and make the robot turn in a certain direction 6. Wait for touch - robot will not move until the push sensor is touched 7. Loop - how many times a function will occur 8. Case structure - allows you to determine how the robot will act under certain conditions 9. ? 10. Greater then or equal to sign - robot will do the programmed function only if the outside quantity is greater then or equal to the specified quantity 11. Less than or equal to sign - robot will do the programmed function only if the outsifde quantity is less than or equeal to the specified quantity 12. Move Motors - moves motors with either constant speed or power 13. brake stop - stops the motors imediatly or gradually
PART 2: Engeneering design process
Step 1. Identify the problem - The problem will be determined. It is what you are trying to solve. Step 2. Research the problem - The problem has been identified now research can be done to help find the best solution. Step 3. Develop solutions - Now that the research is complete the best solutions that were seen here for further development. step 4. Select the best solution - Out of all the solutions that were picked the most promising one must be picked to solve the problem. Step 5. Build a prototype - After the best solution has been picked construct a prototype so it can be tested to see if it fits the needs of the problem. Step 6. Test and evaluate - The robot is tested and evaluated to see if it works. Step 7. Communicate the solutions - The prototype is scrutinized. You will write down what the robot did well and what needs improvement. Step 8. Redesign - Take the flaws of your robot and fix them or build a completely new design that works better than your original prototype.

1. A big gear driving a small gear makes the robot faster. 2. A small gear driving a big gear makes the robot stronger. 3. The 1st computer code pictured makes the robot move forward when a loud noise is heard for a specific time. 4. The 2nd computer code pictured makes the robot move forward when the touch sensor is pressed for 50 loops. 5. The 3rd computer code pictured makes the robot move backwards when the touch sensor is not being pressed for 50 loops. 6. The 4th computer code pictured makes the robot stop, Then move backwards, and coast for three seconds, a tone is then played. This all happens once the touch sensor is pressed
